June 8, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

Ahead of its premiere at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, a first-look clip has arrived online from Andy Serkis’ upcoming animated adaptation of George Orwell’s classic novel Animal Farm which sees pigs Napoleon (Seth Rogen), Lucky (Gaten Matarazzo) and Squealer (Kieran Culkin) discussing the animal revolution and their place in the rebellion; watch it below…

When a group of farm animals rebel and kick their neglectful farmer off the land, life is good and the dream of a free, equitable future is within sight. But power struggles among some of literature’s most infamous characters ensue and the realities of living in a world designed for mankind complicates and corrupts the satirical and allegorical, Animal Farm.

The film features the voice talents of Seth Rogen, Gaten Matarazzo, Woody Harrelson, Steve Buscemi, Glenn Close Kieran Culkin, Laverne Cox, Jim Parsons, Kathleen Turner, Iman Vellani, and Andy Serkis.

Animal Farm premieres on Sunday, June 9th at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
