Metro Awakening to launch this November

Vertigo Games, along with Deep Silver, has announced that the highly anticipated VR game, Metro Awakening, will launch on PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest 2 and 3, Steam VR and Viveport on 7th November.  Set in the post-apocalyptic world of Metro, Metro Awakening features an origin story of one of Metro’s most pivotal characters.  Watch the new trailer below…

Series creator Dmitry Glukhovsky has created this prequel story to Metro 2033 that will have players follow Serdar, a doctor who sets out into the dangerous tunnels in search of his missing wife.  As Serdar’s journey takes him through the ruins of the Metro his sanity is pushed to its very limits until he awakens as Khan, the legendary mystic figure whose wisdom and understanding of the supernatural forces within the tunnels.

“The Metro franchise isn’t just about survival; it’s also about the powerful stories that emerge from its world. By collaborating with Dmitry, we’ve created something truly special—a deeply personal narrative that will resonate with both longtime fans and newcomers,” said Martin de Ronde, Game and Creative Director at Vertigo Games.

Metro Awakening is available to pre-order in two different editions:

Pre-orders of the Standard Edition will include the Field Medic pack, which includes a Field Medic Bag backpack skin, Bear Keepsake backpack charm, Medic Badge backpack patch and Healing Hands glove skin.

Those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition will receive a 10% discount, 48-hour Early Access to the full game starting November 5th (Early Access available only on PS VR2 and Steam VR), the Field Medic pack and a digital VR Concept Art Gallery.  It also includes the Memories of Polyanka pack, which consists of Nosalis Hide backpack skin, Nosalis Toy backpack charm, The Fallen backpack patch and Nosalis Skeletal glove skin.

Look out for Metro Awakening coming to PS VR2, Meta Quest and Steam VR on 7th November.
