The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Birdman star Michael Keaton has signed on to produce and star in Imagine Agents, an adaptation of the Boom! comic book series from creators Brian Joines and Bachan.
Imagine Agents “tackles the idea that the imaginary friends of children are actually very real and centers on an organization titled I.M.A.G.I.N.E., which handles things when these figments get out of control [and tells the story of] a jaded 20-year veteran agent who must mentor a young archivist, with a routine day becoming something much larger.”
The Oscar-nominated Keaton is currently shooting The Founder, where he plays McDonald’s co-founder Ray Kroc, and is also set to appear in Legendary Pictures King Kong feature Kong: Skull Island.
