Misha Collins is Harvey Dent in Gotham Knights pilot

March 24, 2022 by Ricky Church

The CW’s upcoming Gotham Knights has just cast one of Batman’s most infamous rogues in a reunion between the network and one of its former stars. Misha Collins will play Harvey Dent, better known as Two-Face, will star in the series pilot.

This marks Collins’ first TV role since the conclusion of the CW’s 15 season run of Supernatural. Collins played the angel Castiel, role he played as a series regular for 12 of its 15 seasons. Collins alluded to his role as Castiel when commenting on playing Dent, jokingly referring to Castiel’s trademark trench coat he wore for the majority of his time on Supernatural.

I've asked if my version of the character could be wearing a beige trench coat over the grey suit. (I'm just not sure I'll be comfortable in front of a camera without one.) #newTVgig #GothamKnights pic.twitter.com/a5F1EFnjzX

With the casting, it seems as though Harvey Dent has yet to become Two-Face despite Batman’s long presence in Gotham by the time Gotham Knights begins. The character description for Dent reads:

“Dashing, with a swagger, Harvey Dent is Gotham’s charismatic, hard-charging District Attorney. With a rigid sense of right and wrong, Harvey’s idealism and single-minded quest for justice will ironically and tragically transform him into one of Gotham’s most feared supervillains, Two-Face.”

Collins joins a cast that includes Fallon Smythe as Harper Row, Tyler DiChiara as Cullen Row, Olivia Rose Keegan as Duela, Navia Robinson as Carrie Kelley, and Oscar Morgan as Turner Hayes.

Gotham Knights will follow Bruce Wayne’s rebellious adopted son in the wake of Bruce’s murder as he’s forced to forge an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies after they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader.

As the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city becomes more dangerous than it’s ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected of places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors, known as the Gotham Knights.
