Mortal Kombat II poster reveals Karl Urban’s Johnny Cage

Warner Bros. has kicked off the promotional campaign for the Mortal Kombat II movie with a faux poster for Uncaged Fury, the latest action spectacular featuring A-lister Johnny Cage, who is being portrayed by Karl Urban (The Boys) in the upcoming sequel to the 2021 film reboot.

Mortal Kombat II is once again being directed by Simon McQuoid from a script by Jeremy Slater, and sees Urban making his debut in the series alongside returning Mortal Kombat actors Lewis Tan as Cole Young, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Josh Lawson as Kano, Tadanobu Asano as Lord Raiden, Mehcad Brooks as Jax, Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Joe Taslim as Bi-Han/Noob Saibot, Hiroyuki Sanada as Hanzo Hasashi / Scorpion, and Max Huang as Kung Lao.

Other new additions debuting alongside Urban in the sequel include Adeline Rudolph as Kitana, Tati Gabrielle as Jade, Martyn Ford as Shao Kahn, Desmond Chiam as King Jerrod, Ana Thu Nguyen as Sindel, CJ Bloomfield as Baraka, and Damon Herriman as Quan Chi.

Mortal Kombat II is set for release on October 24th 2025.
