Mortal Kombat Trilogy remaster was in the works, but has been cancelled

Developer Blind Squirrel was rumored to have been working on a remaster of the first three Mortal Kombat games, and this has now been proven to be true – only after the project was cancelled.

This news came from Blind Squirrels concept and UI artist Danny Huynh, who has released screenshots for the newly cancelled project. It was to be called Mortal Kombat Kollection Online and would have featured all remastered assets and a new game mode which was to be called the Krypt mode.

Huynh’s screenshots include the Scorpion remastered character design and both Scorpion and Subzero’s projectile assists. Check them out here…
