Mr. Robot’s final season gets a poster and trailer

August 28, 2019 by Ricky Church

After a nearly two-year hiatus, Mr. Robot is set to return for its final season. USA Network released a new trailer for the series’ fourth and final season while also revealing it will premiere October 6th.

Mr. Robot stars Rami Malek as Elliot Alderson, a former cyber-security engineer who becomes a part of a hacker group after getting recruited by the mysterious Mr. Robot. The series follows Elliott’s journey into hacking society as the group he’s part of contend with multi-national corporations and rival hackers. The series also stars Christian Slater, Carly Chaikin, BD Wong, Portia Doubleday and Michael Cristofer.

Mr. Robot has been a success for USA Network, earning Malek an Emmy Award for Lead Drama Actor in 2016. He most recently starred as Queen singer Feddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody, a role which won him both a Golden Globe and Oscar for Best Actor, and will star as the next Bond villain in No Time To Die.

The official synopsis for season 4 is:

Set during the Christmas of 2015, the fourth and final season of Esmail’s thriller sees Elliot and his violent alter ego Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) embarking on a path to target the top one percent of the top one percent — and their pursuit puts them directly on the radar of dangerous entities like Whiterose (BD Wong) and the Dark Army, ruthless businessman Phillip Price (Michael Cristofer) and the full apparatus of E Corp, and other unknown forces of terror. Whatever dangers lie ahead, it’s enough to cause even the Robot side of Elliot’s personality to sound the alarms.
