Twenty Must-See Movies of 2020

February 6, 2020 by EJ Moreno

10. Venom 2

The first Venom film took people by surprise. While critics didn’t love it, audiences made the film quite the hit. Now, Tom Hardy is joined by a new director, Andy Serkis, in an attempt to recapture that magic.

9. Godzilla vs. Kong

While it was initially planned for earlier in 2020, the studio Godzilla vs. Kong pushed back to perfect this epic clash. Director Adam Wingard has the incredible task of making these two cinematic giants face-off in a wild battle.

8. Black Widow

A little too late for a Black Widow, but that doesn’t stop people from wanting to see this. MCU die-hards are excited for the first film after Avengers: Endgame, and fans of the character will finally know her full story. And if nothing else, we get more Florence Pugh.

7. Eternals

Can Marvel Studios pull off making another B-team in the comics to significant stars of the cinema? It’s worked for them before, so Eternals will be quite an exciting film to unfold. Also, that cast is just utterly insane that you can’t miss this.

6. Halloween Kills

No one expected 2018’s Halloween to be as good as it turned out to be, but can the team do it again? This is the second entry in a planned trilogy, so the studio thinks the hype is there. As long as the incredible Jamie Lee Curtis is there, butts will always be in seats.

5. Fast & Furious 9

The Fast and Furious franchise is a tradition now. Even if you don’t love the films, there’s still an aura around them that makes them big deals. Now, the ninth entry is adding John Cena and the returning Charlize Theron to put this on everyone’s list.

4. Bill & Ted Face the Music

Wild to think a Bill & Ted film would come out in 2020, let alone be one of the most exciting movies of the year. But that’s the power of Keanu Reeves; he’s on fire recently. And this is only his warm-up to an even more action-filled 2021!

3. No Time To Die

Another James Bond from Daniel Craig? Not what you’d expect to get engines revving, but the first look at the film won a lot of people over. Will Craig’s final outing as the iconic spy prove to be one of his best? Only time will tell.

2. Wonder Woman 1984

Wonder Woman saved the DCEU in 2017 with her impressive debut film, and now she looks to follow it up with an even bigger and bolder entry. Will the nostalgic trip to the ’80s work for our hero? It seems to work for just about everything else.

1. Tenet

Christopher Nolan has a way of making just about any of his films into a phenomenon. Many didn’t know what to think of Tenet, but that first trailer made this a must-see for many. Also, are you going to miss another great Robert Pattinson performance?
