With the second and final season of The Sandman set to get underway next month, Netflix has released a trailer for the comic book adaptation which sees Dream of the Endless faced with a series of impossible decisions as he attempts to atone for past mistakes and save himself, his kingdom, and the waking world. After a fateful reunion with his family, Dream of the Endless (Tom Sturridge) must face one impossible decision after another as he attempts to save himself, his kingdom, and the waking world from the epic fallout of his past misdeeds. To make amends, Dream must confront longtime friends and foes, gods, monsters, and mortals. But the path to forgiveness is full of unexpected twists and turns, and true absolution may cost Dream everything. Based on the beloved award-winning DC comic series, the second season of THE SANDMAN will tell Dream’s story arc in full to its thrilling conclusion.
Starring as the Endless are Tom Sturridge as Dream, Kirby as Death, Mason Alexander Park as Desire, Donna Preston as Despair, Adrian Lester as Destiny, Esmé Creed-Miles as Delirium and Barry Sloane as The Prodigal. Reprising their roles from season one are Patton Oswalt as Matthew the Raven, Vivienne Acheampong as Lucienne, Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer, Jenna Coleman as Johanna Constantine, Ferdinand Kingsley, Stephen Fry as Gilbert, Asim Chaudhry as Abel, Sanjeev Bhaskar as Cain, Vanesu Samunyai as Rose Walker and Razane Jammal as Lyta.
The Sandman season 2 will premiere on Netflix will Volume 1 on July 3rd followed by Volume 2 on July 24th.
