Netflix survey suggests that Marvel’s Jessica Jones may have already been cancelled

December 30, 2018 by Gary Collinson

With the axe swinging on Iron Fist, Luke Cage and Daredevil this year, there’s an expectation that the same fate will befall both The Punisher and Jessica Jones once the next seasons of the Marvel shows arrive on Netflix.

Well, it seems the decision may have already been made with regards to the latter, as Netflix has sent out a survey asking subscribers for their opinions on the cancellations of Luke Cage, Daredevil… and Jessica Jones.

Now, technically, the wording of the question – “how disappointed would you be…” – suggests that Netflix could simply be testing the water with viewers, and a final decision on Jessica Jones is yet to be made. However, given that Daredevil fell victim to the cull following a hugely-acclaimed third season, one would have to assume that the future of Krysten Ritter’s private eye is looking rather bleak (particularly as showrunner Melissa Rosenberg has already announced that she won’t be returning for a potential fourth season).

Interestingly, it’s worth pointing out that the survey makes no mention of The Punisher, which is set to debut its second season this January.

Season three of Jessica Jones is set to arrive on Netflix at some point in 2019, and sees the return of Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones), Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse) and Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth).
