Netflix has released a trailer for the second season of Blood of Zeus, the streamer’s adult animated fantasy series based on Greek Mythology.
Season 2 will see Hades plot to take Zeus’ crown for himself following his demise, hoping to escape the Underworld forever and reunite with Persephone as the new ruler of Olympus. Check out the trailer below along with a batch of promotional images…
Following Zeus’ demise, a power vacuum emerges amongst the gods, leaving Heron, Zeus’ demigod son, struggling to find his place. He is racked with loss and hears a mysterious refrain in his dreams, prodding him to save his brother, Seraphim, who is suffering the terrors of the Underworld. Unbeknownst to Heron, Hades is trying to enlist Seraphim to help him secure Zeus’ vacant throne and save his family from their long standing suffering.
Blood of Zeus season 2 arrives on Netflix on May 9th.
