Netflix’s Klaus wins big at the 2020 Annie Awards

The winners of the 47th annual Anime Awards were announced yesterday evening, with Netflix’s first original animated feature Klaus scooping seven honours in total including Best Animated Feature.

The Christmas-themed film is set to contest the Best Animated Feature Oscar against Toy Story 4, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, Missing Link and fellow Netflix release I Lost My Body, was also successful in the direction, editing, storyboarding, production design, character animation and character design categories.

Netflix also enjoyed further success with I Lost My Body, Love, Death & Robots, BoJack Horseman and Tuca & Bertie all receiving awards, while big hitters like Toy Story 4 and Missing Link were left empty handed. Check out the full list of winners here via Deadline…
