Big Finish has announced the arrival of the Fugitive Doctor in Doctor Who – Rutans vs Sontarans: Betrayal at the House of Sontar. This new full-cast audio drama follows on from 2024’s popular Sontarans vs Rutans storyline. It is the first of four adventures in a new miniseries featuring the Doctors and companions from different eras.
Betrayal at the House of Sontar follows the Fugitive Doctor’s (Jo Martin) involvement in the Rutans vs Sontarans war and takes listeners back to the early era of Sontar’s history, when the Kaveetch and their world were on the brink of war.
With the Doctor on the run from the shadowy organisation known as the Division, the planet Sontar and the home of the Kaveetch Empire seems to be the perfect place to seek sanctuary. To get that safety, the Doctor plans to give them the secrets of the Time Lords, but who on Sontar can be trusted with all that power over time and space?

Alongside Jo Martin’s Fugitive Doctor is Anthony Howell as the Kaveetch scientist Meredit Roach, Abi Harris as Kaveetch Empress Annaz Zachar, Nigel Fairs as General Stahl, and Jonathon Carley as Vrag and Drammal.
