New Horrible Bosses 2 trailer promises a “Kidnaping”

October 1, 2014 by Robert Kojder

I don’t know if anyone expected Horrible Bosses to turn out as one of the funniest movies of the decade so far, but it certainly came out of left field as both a commercial and critical success. With that said, it’s no surprise that Hollywood immediately ordered a sequel despite the previous director not returning or the fact that comedy sequels usually aren’t that great. All that aside, Horrible Bosses 2 seems prepped to defy the odds and be a worthy, funny sequel, and the latest trailer for the film has only strengthened that belief.

Instead of offering moviegoers a barrage of small scenes featuring returning characters and cameos, this time an effort is being made to explain the premise. We learn that our lovably psychopathic protagonists have invented something called a Shower Buddy, and even line-up a buyer (Christoph Waltz) for 100k units. Things go awry when Waltz (Django Unchained) cancels, so our trio decides to kidnap his son played by Chris Pine (Star Trek: Into Darkness). And of course they also consult the show-stealer of the franchise, Motherfucker Jones (Jamie Foxx).

There are some good laughs and an awesome usage of the song “Come With Me Now” by Kongos, so check it out below…

Fed up with answering to higher-ups, Nick, Dale and Kurt decide to become their own bosses by launching their own business in “Horrible Bosses 2.” But a slick investor soon pulls the rug out from under them. Outplayed and desperate, and with no legal recourse, the three would-be entrepreneurs hatch a misguided plan to kidnap the investor’s adult son and ransom him to regain control of their company.

Horrible Bosses 2 releases on November 26th in the US and November 28th in the UK, and stars Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day, Christoph Waltz, Chris Pine, Jamie Foxx, Kevin Spacey, and Jennifer Aniston.
