FASSBENDER NOT A FAN OF ASSASSIN’S CREED

It’s fair to say that last year’s Assassin’s Creed was a disappointment – not only with critics and fans but at the box office too. Many felt it would be the movie to kickstart a revolution for video game adaptations, but it didn’t deliver – and now its star, Michael Fassbender, has slammed the film. “I think we missed an opportunity there a little bit. So we’ll wait and see what Ubisoft are coming up with. But right now I don’t know,” Fassbender said when asked about a sequel. “I would make it more entertaining, that’s really the main note. The feeling of the film, I think it took itself too seriously and I would get to the action a lot quicker. I think there’s three beginnings of the film, which is a mistake.” Read more here.

FAV PUNISHER

Although the series has been pushed back due to the terrible tragedy in Las Vegas, co-creator of The Punisher, Gerry Conway, has said that Jon Bernthal has provided his favourite screen version of the character. “Jon Bernthal gives The Punisher the kind of pathos that’s underneath the tough guy, and I really like that,” he said at New York Comic Con.
