New pre-registration rewards for Harry Potter: Magic Awakened in collaboration with Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore

April 20, 2022 by Andrew Newton

With the latest in the Fantastic Beasts saga, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, recently released in cinemas, Warner Bros. Games and NetEase Inc have announced new pre-registration rewards for Harry Potter: Magic Awakened.  Those who pre-register for Harry Potter: Magic Awakened will receive a special Fantastic Beasts Card Pack featuring the Niffler and Baby Manticore Summon Cards.

The Niffler is a black furred cute magical creature that we get to see in the Fantastic Beasts films.  With its black fur, long snout and love for shiny and expensive objects, the Niffler became a firm favourite in the films.  In Harry Potter: Magic Awakened the Niffler will be able to help wizards and witches restore their magic points by using their sneaky and mischievous ways of stealing items to seek out in-game treasure.

The Baby Manticore card is inspired by the infant Manticores introduced in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore and are just as menacing and fearsome when grouped together.  They are both aggressive and carnivorous and won’t think twice before attacking any unprepared wizard or witch that gets in their way.  Those who are unfortunate to cross a baby Manticore’s path may soon find themselves overwhelmed.

Harry Potter: Magic Awakened will take players into the magical world of Harry Potter where they will be able to learn spells and charms that can be cast using the cards in wizarding duels and battles with monsters.  Players will have to use strategy when building up their deck of cards and combine spells and summons so they can overcome the fiercest of challenges.

Pre-register now on Google Play or the game’s official website at www.MagicAwakened.com to earn these special rewards.  Those who do will also unlock additional rewards at each pre-registration milestone.

Professor Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen) is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches, and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?

The film features an ensemble cast led by Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne (“The Theory of Everything”), two-time Oscar nominee Jude Law (“Cold Mountain,” “The Talented Mr. Ripley”), Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Callum Turner, Jessica Williams, Katherine Waterston, and Mads Mikkelsen.
