A new trailer for arrived online for director Chuck Russell’s (A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, The Blob) upcoming reimagining of the cult 1986 horror Witchboard ahead of its release later this month.
Madison Iseman and Aaron Dominguez stars as Emily and Christian, a young couple who discover a cursed Witchboard while opening their dream cafe in New Orleans, but when Emily becomes obsessed with the artifact’s abilities they seek the help of an occult scholar (James Campbell Bower), who plans to use it for his own dark intentions.

In New Orleans, Emily (Madison Iseman) and her fiancé Christian (Aaron Dominguez) are opening their new dream café. But their dreams are dashed when Emily finds an ancient, cursed Witchboard, an ancient artifact that once served as a gateway to the spirit world. As Emily becomes increasingly captivated by the board’s ability to summon spirits, Christian seeks the expertise of Alexander Babtiste (Jamie Campbell Bower), an enigmatic occult scholar. As Emily’s grip on reality weakens, Babtiste’s true intentions come to light—to use the Witchboard’s dark power for his own twisted purposes.
Witchboard is set for release on August 15th.
