New trailer for Shining Girls starring Elisabeth Moss and Wagner Moura

Ahead of its premiere this April, Apple TV+ has released a new trailer for the upcoming adaptation of Lauren Beukes’ 2013 novel Shining Girls, which centres on Kirby (Elisabeth Moss), a newspaper archivist who teams up with veteran reporter Dan (Wagner Moura) to investigate a recent murder which may be linked to a brutal assault she endured years earlier.

Based on Lauren Beukes’ best-selling novel, “Shining Girls” follows Kirby Mazrachi (Moss) as a Chicago newspaper archivist whose journalistic ambitions were put on hold after enduring a traumatic assault.Years after a brutal attack left her in a constantly shifting reality, Kirby Mazrachi learns that a recent murder is linked to her assault. She teams with veteran reporter Dan Velazquez (played by Wagner Moura) to understand her ever-changing present—and confront her past.

Joining Elisabeth Moss and Wagner Moura in the cast of Shining Girls are Phillipa Soo, Chris Chalk, Amy Brenneman, and Jamie Bell.

Shining Girls arrives on Apple TV+ on April 29th.
