Only Murders in the Building adds Eugene Levy for season 4

February 28, 2024 by Ricky Church

The fourth season of Only Murders in the Building has added Eugene Levy (Schitt’s Creek) to its cast, with the actor joining fellow newcomers Molly Shannon (Saturday Night Live) and Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives) in the new season, while Meryl Streep will reprise her third season role as Loretta Durkin.

Details on who Levy and the new cast will play are being kept under wraps, but the fourth season will pick up on the third season cliffhanger which saw Sazz, Charles’ good friend and stunt double played by Jane Lynch, shot after possibly being mistaken for Charles. Season four will see Charles, Oliver and Mabel take a trip to Los Angeles to investigate Sazz’s murder before returning to The Arconia.

Only Murders in the Building follows Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez as Charles-Haden Savage, Oliver Putman and Mabel Mora as residents of the apartment complex The Arconia who start a true crime podcast after a murder in their building. The series has become a huge hit for Hulu and attracted a number of high-profile stars in recurring or guest roles in the series, such as Nathan Lane, Tina Fey, Shirley MacLaine, Cara Delevingne, Paul Rudd and Meryl Streep.

There is no word yet on when Only Murders in the Building will begin production or the premiere window for season four.
