Paul Rudd reportedly wrote an Ant-Man 3 script featuring M.O.D.O.K. and A.I.M.

April 13, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Last week it was announced that Rick and Morty writer-producer Jeff Loveness has signed on to write Ant-Man 3 for Marvel Studios, but it seems he may not have been the first person to take a crack at penning Scott Lang’s third solo outing.

According to Geeks Worldwide, Paul Rudd – who, in addition to starring as the title character, was credited as a writer on both Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp – is said to have turned in a script for the third film, one which featured both A.I.M. (Advanced Idea Mechanics) and M.O.D.O.K. (Mental Organism Designed Only For Killing) as the villains.

A.I.M. has of course previously featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in 2013’s Iron Man 3, while Marvel Television and Hulu have been working on an animated M.O.D.O.K. series featuring Patton Oswalt, which still appears to be moving ahead.

Assuming the report is accurate, this is of course by no means confirmation that M.O.D.O.K. will appear in the film, as the studio may well take things in a completely different direction with Loveness’ draft. Still, let us know in the comments or on our social channels whether you’d like to see Scott Lang going up against M.O.D.O.K. and his evil A.I.M. organisation in Ant-Man 3…

Ant-Man 3 is once again being directed by Peyton Reed, and has Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas confirmed to return as Scott Lang and Hank Pym, with Evangeline Lilly and Michelle Pfeiffer expected back as Hope and Janet Van Dyne.
