Peer below the decks at Dracula in The Last Voyage of the Demeter featurette

August 1, 2023 by Matt Rodgers

Sony Pictures has granted us a peek below the decks of the Demeter, the doomed ship which carried Count Dracula to London in Bram Stoker’s seminal horror novel, and is now the focus of Troll Hunter and The Autopsy of Jane Doe director André Øvredal’s seafaring exercise in terror.

The Demeter’s crew are made up of  Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton), Aisling Franciosi (The Nightingale), Liam Cunningham (Game of Thrones), David Dastmalchian (Dune), Jon Jon Briones (Ratched), Stefan Kapicic (Deadpool), Nikolai Nikolaeff (Stranger Things) and Javier Botet (It). Check out the featurette below…

Based on a single chilling chapter from Bram Stoker’s classic novel Dracula, The Last Voyage of the Demeter tells the terrifying story of the merchant ship Demeter, which was chartered to carry private cargo—fifty unmarked wooden crates—from Carpathia to London.
