Physical edition of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster arrives today

November 8, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Capcom has today warmed the hearts of zombie game fans on the Xbox Series X and Playstation 5 as they announce the release of physical versions of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster.  Fans of everyone’s favourite zombie fighting photojournalist Frank West can jump back into Willamette Mall and use anything and everything to make sure the zombies stay down permanently.

For those who are new to the original Dead Rising, the game follows freelance photojournalist Frank West who travels to Willamette, Colorado after he hears a rumour that something unnatural is happening there.  Once there he soon finds out he’s in the middle of a zombie outbreak and has to survive 72 hours before he can release this amazing scoop to the outside world.

As Frank, players will be able to choose whether to survive the zombies and other survivors by keeping their heads down or risk it all to uncover the truth about the outbreak. Players can hunt round the mall for a variety of different items, ranging from sports equipment to toys, that can be used to put the zeds down for good.

Alongside the release of this physical edition is brand-new content updates.  The new Casual difficulty is available across  all three game modes, including 72 Hour Mode, Overtime Mode and Infinity Mode and brings a fun and less challenging way to experience the game.  This difficulty level allows players to enjoy increased attack power, reduced damage intake and much more.  There are also new upgrades for the newly released PlayStation 5 Pro, with enhanced raytracing support and a 60 FPS frame rate.

A new free demo for Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is also now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, allowing players to enjoy a bit of zed killing before jumping into the game.

Keep physical media alive and purchase Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster on Xbox Series X and Playstation 5 now.
