PlayStation to hold its own Nintendo Direct-style showcase on Monday

March 23, 2019 by Liam Waddington

PlayStation has announced State of Play, a brand new PlayStation-orientated video presentation, starting on Monday 25th March at 2:00pm Pacific Time.

Announced via the PlayStation Blog, State of Play – essentially PlayStation’s response to Nintendo Direct or Inside Xbox – will provide “updates and announcements from the world of PlayStation”. The first episode, debuting on Monday, is set to showcase new trailers, game announcements and new gameplay footage for upcoming PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR software.

The livestream will be broadcast to Twitch, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube worldwide, with VOD following shortly afterwards on YouTube.

Additionally, PlayStation have announced State of Play will be a regular livestream series throughout the year. Maybe we will get to see more of their first-party titles like Ghosts of Tsushima, The Last of Us, Dreams or Death Stranding as PlayStation won’t be attending E3 this year?

Let us know if you will be tuning in on Monday in the comments below or tweet us @FlickeringMyth…
