Popeye horror Shiver Me Timbers gets a red band trailer

February 6, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

A new poster and red band trailer have been released for Shiver Me Timbers, the next horror based on the now-public domain Popeye the Sailor Man following Popeye’s Revenge and Popeye the Slayer Man.

Directed by Paul Stephen Mann, the slasher comedy sees Popeye transformed into an unstoppable killing machine during a meteor shower, turning a camping trip for Olive Oyl and her friends into a blood-soaked nightmare. Watch the trailer below…

In Northern California during the summer of 1986, Olive Oyl, along with her cinema- obsessed friends and brother Castor, embark on a once-in-a-lifetime camping trip to witness the dazzling meteor shower accompanying the arrival of Halley’s comet. But what starts as a serene evening of stargazing quickly turns into a harrowing nightmare when a meteor from the comet transforms Popeye, into a terrifying and unstoppable killing machine.

Shiver Me Timbers is slated for an April 2025 release.
