Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered announced for Nintendo Switch

April 24, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Nintendo Switch players can travel to Mars this summer as Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered arrives on 2nd July.  The Switch edition of the game will feature the choice of Performance and Quality modes, reworked graphics, improved lighting and shadows and optional motion controls to assist while playing in handheld mode.  Watch the new trailer below…

Set 50 years after the original Red Faction, Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered sees players take the role of Alec Mason, a miner who joins the revolution as an insurgent fighter.  Throughout this open world game players will drive, shoot and demolish their way across the surface of Mars in battle against the oppressive EDF forces.

Take the fight to the enemy when and where you choose and use a large variety of different weapons to cause chain reaction explosions and physics based destruction, but never forget how useful your trusty sledgehammer is.

The Re-Mars-tered Edition features:

  • Open World Guerrilla Warfare – Decide who, when and where you battle. Use guerrilla tactics,a variety of weaponry and modified vehicles to attack EDF targets.
  • Strategic Destruction – Use destruction to your tactical advantage by setting ambushes or chain reaction explosions to attack enemy strongholds.
  • Evolving & Emergent Gameplay – Mars has an ever changing landscape thanks to the tactics you use.
  • Epic Sci-Fi Setting – Explore a huge Martian landscape from desolate mining outposts to the big EDF capital city of Eos ……….. then tear it all down.
  • Multiplayer Combat – Put your guerrilla warfare skills to the test in a variety of highly destructive multiplayer combat modes.
  • Use dynamic physics based destruction on the fly by blowing holes in a wall or floor or drive vehicles through blown out walls.
