Rick auditions new Jerrys in the trailer for Rick & Morty season 8

December 10, 2024 by Matt Rodgers

Heralding the shows return in 2025, Adult Swim has released a teaser for the eighth run of episodes for those intergalactic chaos creators Rick & Morty.

The clip features Rick Sanchez conducting some “important house business” by hosting auditions for potential replacements for his son-in-law Jerry, before his family burst in to spoil the fun.

Co-created by Community’s Dan Harmon, the Emmy-winning series first debuted in 2013, with this latest season picking up following the events of the season 7 finale, in which Rick defeated his nemesis, Rick Prime, and Morty started out on his own journey of newfound independence. Check out the video below…

“Created and executive produced by Dan Harmon (Community), the half-hour comedy follows sociopathic genius scientist Rick Sanchez, as he drags his inherently timid grandson, Morty on insanely dangerous adventures throughout the universe. While living with the family of his daughter Beth (Sarah Chalke), he also is known to rope her into his intergalactic escapades, along with his son-in-law Jerry (Chris Parnell) and his granddaughter Summer (Spencer Grammer).”

Rick and Morty season 8 launches sometime in 2025.
