Ridley Scott’s The Martian retains top spot at the UK box office

UK box office top ten and analysis for the weekend of Friday 9th October to Sunday 11th October 2015…

 

Ridley Scott’s The Martian retained top spot at the UK box office in its second weekend, pulling in £3.85 million to push its haul to £13.21 million and counting.

The best of the new entries was Denis Villenueve’s Sicario, which opened in second place with £1,596,734, followed by Robert Zemeckis’ The Walk in third with £795,115. Meanwhile, the thriller Regression also cracked the top ten in its opening weekend, claiming ninth place with £214,742.
