Robert De Niro and Sebastian Maniscalco enjoy some father-son bonding in About My Father trailer

February 23, 2023 by Amie Cranswick

Lionsgate has released a poster and trailer for director Laura Terruso’s comedy About My Father.

The film is scripted by stand up comedian Sebastian Maniscalco, loosely based on his own life and relationship with his father, played in the film by Robert De Niro. Watch the trailer below…

The film centers around Sebastian (Maniscalco) who is encouraged by his fiancée (Leslie Bibb) to bring his immigrant, hairdresser father, Salvo (De Niro), to a weekend get-together with her super-rich and exceedingly eccentric family (Kim Cattrall, Anders Holm, Brett Dier, David Rasche). The weekend develops into what can only be described as a culture clash, leaving Sebastian and Salvo to discover that the great thing about family is everything about family.

The film stars Sebastian Maniscalco, Robert De Niro, Leslie Bibb, Anders Holm, David Rasche, Brett Dier, and Kim Cattrall.

About My Father arrives in cinemas on May 26th.
