Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds to get animated for Quibi’s Futha Mucka

July 23, 2020 by Gary Collinson

The Hitman’s Bodyguard stars Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds are set to reunite for Futha Mucka, a new animated series which have been given the green light from the short form streamer Quibi.

The official logline for the series reads:

Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds love each other. More accurately, Ryan loves Sam. When asked for comment on his feelings for Ryan, Sam said “tell them I couldn’t be reached for comment.” When a minor mishap causes Sam to become Ryan’s primary caregiver, shit gets weird. Ryan is delighted to spend all of his time with Sam. Sam couldn’t be reached for comment.

Created by Jim and Brian Kehoe (Blockers), Futha Mucka is being produced by Anonymous Content and Maximum Effort, with Emmy-winning Titmouse (Venture Bros., Big Mouth) handling animation.

Jackson and Reynolds will next be seen together in the action comedy sequel The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, which has recently been delayed a whole year and will now open on August 20th 2021.
