Sarah Paulson-led thriller Run heading to Hulu this November

September 23, 2020 by EJ Moreno

Long-delayed by the on-going health pandemic, Run will finally find its home with fans. Originally set for a release on Mother’s Day this year, Searching director Aneesh Chaganty’s new film now forgoes a theatrical release to make a streaming debut.

Run, starring Sarah Paulson and Kiera Allen, will scare viewers on Hulu this November 20th. The film took to its official Twitter account to confirm the announcement.

“We’re super excited audiences will get to stream Run on Hulu, a platform that’s really committed to giving the movie the same, big splash that was always intended for it,” Chaganty said. “Plus, the film is about a girl who’s been quarantined at home her whole life; watching it the same way should be a fitting experience in 2020.”

Also, an amazing note from the film’s production: Newcomer Kiera Allen, who plays Paulson’s daughter, is the first time an actual wheelchair user has played a lead in a major thriller since 1948’s The Sign of the Ram, this according to The Hollywood Reporter, who originally broke the news.

“A home-schooled teenager who uses a wheelchair begins to suspect that her overprotective mother is keeping a dark, sinister secret from her.”
