Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg developing Where’s Waldo? movie

March 11, 2016 by Gary Collinson

The Tracking Board is reporting that MGM has tapped Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg to develop an adaptation of Martin Handford’s children’s book series Where’s Wally?, known as Where’s Waldo? in North America.

The live-action take “centers around Waldo, the janitor/inventor who wears a distinctive red-and-white shirt with glasses, a stocking cap, and a walking stick. As he embarks on adventures, traveling through space and time, he often appears in colorful, crowded scenes from the past, the present – even the future.”

A Where’s Waldo? movie has been in the pipeline for several years, having passed through the hands of Nickelodeon/Paramount and Universal/Illumination Entertainment before landing at MGM in 2011. The most recent draft of the script was written by Todd Berger (It’s a Disaster).
