Sign up to playtest the upcoming sci-fi RTS Liquidation

January 20, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Legendary developer and publisher MicroProse, along with developer Divio, have announced that gamers can now sign up for the playtest of their upcoming sci-fi real-time strategy, Liquidation.  This upcoming playtest will allow players to experience the war-torn world of Veá, where advanced technology collides with arcane power.  A new trailer can be seen below, offering players a glimpse of the factions they will be able to fight as.

Liquidation is set on the planet Veá, where a cataclysmic event known as ‘The Splintering’ has wiped out species, devastated civilisations and caused a mysterious and powerful substance called Quenrium to leak to the surface.  As this substance is so powerful and destructive it has become highly sought after by the planet’s remaining factions, leading to the 38 year long Quenrium War.

Players will take one of these four factions – Crusade, Corruption, Legion or Scourged, and lead them in battle to secure dominance over this valuable resource.  Players will need to build up an army, unlock advanced technologies andmaster their troops’ unique abilities.

Featuring:

  • Streamlined base building that will have players gather resources, gain resource points and mercenary camps, and place fortifications.
  • Four different factions with different playstyles for players to master.
  • Hire powerful mercenaries with their own backstories.
  • Play alone or alongside a friend in the campaign or in online matches.
  • Comes with replays and community sharing.
  • Climb an online ladder to become the most successful general on Veá.
  • Explore a war-ravaged world where advanced tech’ and arcane magics meet.

Sign up for the playtest of Liquidation by visiting the Steam page now.
