Skybound Games to bring Death’s Gambit to retail

May 11, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Skybound Games, alongside Adult Swim Games and developer White Rabbit, will be releasing their 2D action platformer, Death’s Gambit, to retail stores.  From 25th June, Death’s Gambit will release as a physical edition for the PS4.  A new gameplay trailer can be seen below celebrating the game’s retail launch.

Death’s Gambit is set in the medieval world of Siradon, a mysterious world where those who call it home have attained immortality.  As an agent of Death, players will roam this world defeating gruesome enemies and legendary bosses to unravel the mystery of Siradon and discover the true cost of immortality.

Players will be able to choose from seven different playable classes and adapt their strategies as they level up and choose talents from a skill tree, plus they will be able to customise their characters with weapon abilities, spells and a choice from more than 10 different weapon types, including bows, scythes, longswords and halberds.

The game features:

  • An expansive world with numerous places to visit, including the Obsidian Vale, Witch Woods and the Sanguine City.
  • Explore levels and bosses in a non-linear order and discover secret areas.
  • Lots of hulking great bosses to discover and defeat.
  • Unique musical score composed by Kyle Hnedak that captures the atmosphere of the game world.
  • Heroic mode provides a greater challenge where defeated bosses experience a second wind.
  • Complete Death’s Gambit to unlock New Game+ in brackets of three to set your own difficulty, and endure the struggle all over again.

The physical edition of Death’s Gambit will be available to purchase from retail from 25th June.
