Sky’s 80s crime drama A Town Called Malice gets a first teaser trailer

November 15, 2022 by Amie Cranswick

Sky has released a teaser trailer for A Town Called Malice, the upcoming 80s-set crime thriller series from creator Nick Love (The Football Factory, The Business). Starring Jason Flemyng, Jack Rowan, Tahirah Sharif, and Martha Plimpton, the series follows a family of former Gangsters from South London as they flee to the Costa del Sol and where they see the opportunity to recapture their former glory. Check out the trailer below…

This intoxicating cocktail of crime thriller and family saga in the early ’80s follows the Lords – a family of former South London gangsters who’ve fallen to the bottom of the criminal food chain – and they’re not happy about it. When they flee to the Costa del Sol in Spain following a gangland battle, the Lords realise this is a golden opportunity to re-invent themselves and re-capture their former glory. However, they spend as much time battling each other as they do their opponents. This high-octane, neon Western is a musical love letter to the ’80s – filled with romance, obsession, violence, deceit, and swagger.

Featuring in the cast of A Town Called Malice are Jason Flemyng, Jack Rowan, Tahirah Sharif, Martha Plimpton, Dougray Scott, Lex Shrapnel, Daniel Sharman, George Jaques, and Eliza Butterworth.

A Town Called Malice is coming to Sky in 2023.
