Smallville’s Erica Durance and Tom Welling reunite in Crisis on Infinite Earths photo

September 28, 2019 by Ricky Church

It was just last week The CW revealed Smallville actors Tom Welling and Erica Durance would reunite for the massive Arrowverse crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths, but it hasn’t taken long for them to get in front of the cameras. Durnace shared a photo of her and Welling reuniting on the set of Crisis, outside what looks to be Smallville‘s very own Kent farm barn.

Welling of course played Clark Kent for all ten seasons of Smallville‘s run while Durance joined the show as Lois Lane in the fourth season in a recurring role before becoming a series regular for the remaining seasons. It has been eight years since the conclusion of Smallville when the pair last played their roles, showing in a flashforward the two planning their wedding while working at the Daily Planet.

While Welling and Durance have reunited, fans hoping to see Michael Rosenbaum’s Lex Luthor will be left disappointed as the actor revealed he passed on the offer to appear in the crossover event.

Audiences will also see Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch returning as Supergirl’s Superman and Lois while Brandon Routh will also be portraying Superman for the first time since 2006’s Superman Returns. Check out an official image of Routh’s Kingdom Come-inspired Man of Steel here.

Crisis on Infinite Earths will begin with Supergirl on Sunday, December 8, followed by Batwoman on Monday, December 9 and The Flash on Tuesday, December 10. After that it will go on a winter hiatus, returning with Arrow on Tuesday, January 14 and will conclude with DC’s Legends of Tomorrow airing immediately after Arrow.
