SPOILERS: Want to see the MCU’s Namor the Sub-Mariner?

Spoilers follow. You have been warned…

The rumours are correct. Namor is officially coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe this year in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and as we await the first trailer for the Marvel Studios sequel some promotional artwork has made its way online giving us our very first clear look at the Sub-Mariner as he’ll appear in the MCU.

Namor is said to be portrayed by Mexican actor Tenoch Huerta (The Forever Purge), and as had been rumoured the design for the character has an Aztec-type feel to it, with the MCU’s Atlantis reportedly located in Central America. Nevertheless, the costume also retains the classic green and gold design of the comics. See for yourself here…

Along with the above artwork, we also have a look at another character Attuma, who in the comics is a villain and adversary of Namor…

With Wakanda Forever’s November release date fast approaching, expect the first trailer any time soon, perhaps even coinciding with Thor: Love and Thunder which opens this coming week.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever reunites director Ryan Coogler with Black Panther stars Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong’o, Florence Kasumba, Angela Bassett and Martin Freeman, with Dominique Thorne making her MCU debut as Riri Williams/Ironheart, and Tenoch Huerta, Michaela Coel and Lake Bell starring in an as-yet-unconfirmed roles.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is scheduled for release on November 11th 2022.
