Stan Lee & Bruce Timm celebrate 75 Years of Marvel with new anthology

July 9, 2014 by admin

Over seven decades of entertaining comic book fans commenced with the release of Marvel Comics #1 in October 1939, and to celebrate the occasion a new anthology titled Marvel 75th Anniversary Celebration #1 will be arriving both in print and digital formats.

Accompanying a cover by artist Paolo Rivera will be an illustrated adaptation of Captain American Foils the Traitor’s Revenge by Emmy and Eisner-award winner Bruce Timm; the original text story written by Stan Lee was published as part of Captain America Comics #3 back in 1941.   Chris Samnee and James Robinson combined their creative talents to revisit the arrival of the Fantastic Four while Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos compose a tale starring Jessica Jones who will soon be appearing on Netflix.  Wolverine also makes an appearance with the help of Len Wein and Paul Gulacy as well as Peter Parker who teams with Stan Goldberg and Scott Hanna.

Marvel 75th Anniversary Celebration #1 arrives in October.
