Star Trek continues to boldly go in new stories on WEBTOON

May 19, 2026 by Andrew Newton

Paramount and WEBTOON have announced that two original Star Trek webcomic stories are arriving on the WEBTOON platform. The first of these, Star Trek: Stargazers is now live, with the first three episodes available to read for free, while Star Trek: Recollection is set to arrive this summer.

Stargazers is a 40-episode, young-adult queer romance set aboard Deep Space 9, following a group of young adults as they navigate life on the station, friendship and romance. The story follows Leon, a young man who spends his time with his close group of friends, including Bajoran inventor Churi, his canine companion Alfie and his childhood friend Syrrik, who is determined to enter Starfleet Academy.

After Leon and Syrrik argue, the pair find themselves drawn back together as they become entangled in a station-wide animal smuggling conspiracy. Combined with a community talent show and interference from Syrrik’s overly strict father, the two friends must decide what kind of future they want.

Coming this summer is Recollection, a 40-episode series by writer Sam Maggs. When a young woman awakens aboard a ship with no memory of how she got there, she discovers that six other passengers are in the same boat. The passengers have very little trust in one another and no answers, but the ship’s enigmatic holopilot, JAID, may be hiding some vital information.

The search for what has happened soon leads the travellers to a remote outpost, where they encounter a Vulcan who seems to recognise the young woman. Receiving a device that unlocks memories, the group discover they are nearly all the Federation’s most wanted and were bound for a reeducation facility. However, among them is a bounty hunter and a covert Federation operative, making trust an even more difficult thing to achieve.

Will the passengers be able to determine who they are, and more importantly, what they will become?

Head on over to Webtoons.com now and start enjoying Star Trek: Stargazers.
