Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – Echoes of the Empire limited series announced by Marvel

January 17, 2026 by Gary Collinson

With Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge set to undergo an update to incorporate elements of the Original Trilogy this April, Marvel Comics has announced that it will detail the official story of the Empire and the Rebels’ encounter on Batuu with the five-issue limited comic series Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – Echoes of the Empire.

“We’re returning to Batuu and we’re bringing the biggest stars in the Star Wars galaxy with us,” said writer Ethan Sacks, who penned the original Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge from Marvel from back in 2019. “A major new era is dawning at Galaxy’s Edge and consider Echoes of the Empire a Holocron that reveals the secret story behind that experience. It’s going to be epic and Jedi (drawing) Masters Roi Mercado and Jethro are making sure every page looks amazing.”
