Star Wars: The Acolyte gets a teaser poster and June premiere date

The Star Wars saga is about to head into uncharted screen territory with the upcoming Disney+ series Star Wars: The Acolyte not only becoming the first project set with the ‘High Republic’ era of the galaxy far, far away, but also the first to feature a villain as its main character.

In an age of light, a darkness rises, and we’ll get our first peek at this new chapter of the Star Wars saga tomorrow with the arrival of the first trailer for the new series, and to whet our appetites we now have a look at the official teaser poster…

In The Acolyte, an investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg). As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems…

Star Wars: The Acolyte has been created by showrunner Leslye Headland (Russian Doll) and features a cast that includes Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo, and Carrie-Anne Moss. It is set to premiere on Disney+ on June 4th.
