Stephen King’s Castle Rock gets full season order

February 22, 2017 by Ricky Church

Filming on the pilot hasn’t even begun yet, but Hulu has already ordered a full 10 episode season for the Stephen King and J.J. Abrams anthology series Castle Rock. This comes after positive reception to the recently released teaser trailer.

Castle Rock is the fictional Maine town that many of Stephen Kings stories are set in and the show will “weave together characters and themes from those novels that use the Castle Rock location. Each season will follow a different set of characters and storylines while interjecting themes and specific characters from previous seasons.”

This will be the second collaboration between King and Abrams who first developed 11.22.63 together for Hulu, based on King’s novel about a time traveller attempting to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

Castle Rock is expected to go into production later this year and will be executive produced and written by Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason.
