Stevie and Paul seek perfect harmony in red band trailer for surreal comedy Ebony & Ivory

June 15, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

Fresh off its festival run, Drafthouse Films has shared a poster and red band trailer for Ebony & Ivory, the surreal new comedy from writer-director Jim Hosking (The Greasy Strangler).

A wild fictional reimagining of the creation of Stevie Wonder & Paul McCartney’s hit single, the film sees two musical legends Stevie and Paul (Gil Gex and Sky Elobar) come together in a remote Scottish Cottage to work on what they hope to be a perfectly harmonious creative collaboration. Check out the trailer below…

Ebony & Ivory stars The Greasy Strangler alumni Sky Elobar and Gil Gex as two musical legends who convene at a remote Scottish Cottage on The Mull Of Kintyre for a tense summit to discuss a potential creative collaboration. After a somewhat tricky start, their time together attains a perfect harmony that will ultimately result in a Global Number One smash hit single.

Ebony & Ivory is coming soon.
