December 17, 2019 by Andrew Newton

At the end of the Capcom Cup Final 2019, the developer announced that the 40th character to join the illustrious Street Fighter V: Champion Edition roster would be none other than Street Fighter IV‘s boss character, Seth, the “King of Chaos”.  Seth is scheduled to arrive on 14th February 2020.  Check out the new trailer below to see Seth in action.

Seth’s return to the franchise comes with a bit of a change for those who think they knew him.  After his demise there was a part of his intelligence that survived and this, along with the remnants of his brain, was combined with a new physical form.  This new body seeks out new fighters and gathers intel’ on their fighting styles, so he can use these attacks on his opponents.    Players who take on Seth will need to prepare for a solid fight and expect a taste of their own medicine.

For those who want something new now, Street Fighter V sees the return of Gill.  This end boss of the Street Fighter III series (and 39th character on the roster) will come with a wide variety of fire and ice attack options.  Players can get their hands on his elemental powers for £4.99/ $5.99/ €5.99 or 100,000 Fight Money.  Gill’s home base, the “Sun Chase Moon” stage, is also available for £3.29/  $3.99/ €3.99 or 70,000 Fight Money.

The December update introduces all new V-Skills to every character which provide additional depth to the gameplay system creates opportunities for a variety of new strategies.

Street Fighter V: Champion Edition will release on 14th February 2020 along with Seth.
