Supernatural spinoff Wayward Sisters adds four to its cast

July 25, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Back in June it was announced that The CW is launching a Supernatural spinoff entitled Wayward Sisters, with Kim Rhodes reprising her role as Sheriff Jody Mills.

Well, at the San Diego Comic-Con International this past weekend, we got word that Briana Buckmaster, Kathryn Newton and Katherine Ramdeen are all set to reprise their roles as Sheriff Donna Hanscum, Claire Novak and Alex Jones.

Meanwhile, Clark Backo (Designated Survivor) will play the newly-created character of Patience Turner, a new member of the Wayward Sisterhood, whose description reads: “A high school over-achiever, Patience’s life is turned upside down when she discovers she’s a powerful psychic, a gift she inherited from her estranged grandmother (and season one Supernatural character) Missouri Moseley. Hunted by dark forces for her power, Patience finds refuge with Jody and her wayward family.”

Wayward Sisters will revolve around Sheriff Jody Mills and the Wayward Sisterhood, a group of troubled young women, all of them orphaned by supernatural tragedy. Under Mills’ training and protection, these women will emerge as a supreme monster-fighting force. The spinoff will have a backdoor pilot airing as an episode of the upcoming thirteenth season of Supernatural.
