Tech-noir survival horror Hollowbody hits PC

September 13, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Solo developer studio Headware Games has announced the release of its tech-noir survival horror game Hollowbody on PC via Steam and GOG.  Bringing to mind the horror titles of yesteryear, Hollowbody combines an eye-catching aesthetic with a mysterious, tech-noir storyline.  A new trailer can be seen below showcasing some of the horrors that players will encounter.

In Hollowbody, players take the role of unlicensed black market shipper, Mica, as she sets out on a personal mission to find her partner somewhere within a long abandoned British city known as the Exclusion Zone.  When her ‘hover’ vehicle crash lands deep within the zone, Mica will need to push through the horrors that call the decaying, grimy streets home and make her way to freedom and safety beyond the wall.

As players move through the ruined city they will have to fight the terrifying ‘locals’, solve environmental puzzles and manage their limited resources.  Can they survive the journey to the safety beyond the wall?

Hollowbody features:

  • Classic survival horror gameplay that has been inspired by the early 2000’s horror games.
  • Cinematic blending of dynamic and fixed camera angles.
  • Challenging logic puzzles and resource management.
  • A focus on the narrative and exploration with limited combat.
  • Full voice acting.
  • Carefully paced save points that balance tension and the player’s gaming time.
  • Difficulty options that will assist players who prefer carrying out a spot of exploration than combat.
  • Post-game unlocks and features.

Fans of horror games can download Hollowbody now from Steam and GOG.
