The Coven witches will return to American Horror Story

December 5, 2018 by EJ Moreno

You can’t keep a good witch down! After returning for American Horror Story: Apocalypse, the witches from AHS: Coven will return again. While creator Ryan Murphy says it won’t be next season, the still-untitled season 9, he does have something special planned for the fan-favorite spellcasters.

Entertainment Tonight caught up with the show’s creator at his Hollywood Walk of Fame event. They asked him about seeing more Cordelia Goode (Sarah Paulson) and the other witches in future installments.

“The witches will be back,” he revealed.  “Not next season, though, but we have something really fun planned.”

Surprise, b*tch! The coven survived #AHSApocalypse, and @MrRPMurphy confirms our faves will be back for another season! Bring back our girls, @MsSarahPaulson and @RobertsEmma. ? pic.twitter.com/4LTTJ96au9

Spoilers for AHS: Apocalypse ahead…

This will be an exciting season if the witches do return as the last time we saw them, the ladies of the Coven were changing history to prevent the Michael Langdon from ending the world. Cordelia survived the season, along with Mallory (Billie Lourd), Zoe (Taissa Farmiga), Misty Day (Lily Rabe), and Queenie (Gabourey Sidibe). Emma Roberts’ Madison and Frances Conroy’s Myrtle were still dead in the season finale, but they can always return.
