The CW teams up with Nicholas Sparks for The Notebook TV series

August 13, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Entertainment Weekly has revealed that The CW is teaming up with Nicholas Sparks to develop a series based upon his 1996 novel The Notebook and its subsequent 2004 movie adaptation starring Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. Todd Graff (Camp) is set to pen the script, with Sparks serving as executive producer.

This series will follow the romantic journey of the two beloved central characters Noah and Allie, at the outset of their blossoming relationship as they build their lives and their future together against the backdrop of the racial politics, economic inequities, and social mores of post-World War II of the late 1940s in North Carolina.
