The Eleventh Doctor returns for new Doctor Who adventure The First Question

March 28, 2026 by Andrew Newton

Big Finish Productions has released a brand-new Doctor Who audio adventure box set for the Eleventh Doctor that takes the Doctor from 17th-century Massachusetts to Space Florida. This first in a new run of adventures marks the beginning of Miles Taylor’s time as the Doctor, who is joined by Eleanor Fong, a new companion played by Jasmine Bayes.

The three adventures in store for the Eleventh Doctor and Eleanor Fong are:

The Final Cut by Lisa McMullin – In this adventure, adapted from a story by Max Kashevsky, the Doctor travels to 1990 Hong Kong to answer a call for help from Eleanor Fong, only to find he’s eleven years too late. In the time spent waiting, Eleanor has become a businesswoman specialising in helping people to forget, but does this technology pose a threat to the world?

In The Tourist Trap by Beth Axford, Eleanor has joined the Doctor aboard the TARDIS, with the plan of easing her into space and time travel by visiting Space Florida. However, when the duo arrive, it is far from the paradise they imagined, and there’s a strange absence of tourists and crew. Something monstrous is closing in, but can the Doctor stop it?

From L to R: Tuyen Do, Jasmine Bayes, Miles Taylor, Dan Li, and Windson Liong

Finally, in A Delusion of Witches by Lisa McMullin, the pair of time travellers arrive in Massachusetts, during the Salem witch trials of 1692. The place reeks of fear and suspicion, but one woman knows for sure that it’s not witchcraft or devilry people need to fear – it’s other humans.

On starting his adventures as the voice of the Eleventh Doctor, Miles Taylor added: “It’s a real dream come true! I’ve done a lot of preparation re-watching Eleventh Doctor stories, absorbing Matt Smith’s habits and the rhythm of his voice, understanding the Eleventh Doctor in a more intimate way than when I was watching as a viewer. It’s been so great to start the adventures, to get going, and to meet Jasmine, who’s a delight. I feel like the Doctor now. I’m loving every minute and I’ve got more adventures to come, so bring them on.”

Doctor Who: The Eleventh Doctor Adventures – The First Question is available to purchase now from the Big Finish website as a digital download for £19.99.
