The House of the Dead 2: Remake physical edition coming to Nintendo Switch this Halloween

August 20, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Microids and Forever Entertainment have announced they will be releasing the limited physical edition of The House of the Dead 2: Remake on the Nintendo Switch on 31st October, and is available to pre-order now.  This remake, developed by MegaPixel Studio will allow a new generation of gamers to discover the legendary zombies of this 1998 classic.

As well as a physical copy of the game with a nice sleeve to grace your gaming shelf, The House of the Dead 2: Remake limited edition will also feature 3 holographic cards with which to impress your chums.

The events of The House of the Dead 2: Remake are set two years after the initial game and finds American AMS agents James Taylor and Gary Stewart sent off to Italy to investigate reports of a zombie outbreak. Joined by British agent Amy Crystal, the team must fight their way past hordes of zombies and other monstrous creatures, and save any survivors they find as they go.

Featuring:

  • A complete remake with improved visuals, audio, and game modes.
  • Players can fight their way through the hordes, take on new zombies and tougher zombies, either solo or join up with a friend in co-op mode.
  • Non-stop, spine-tingling action.
  • Several routes to explore and several endings to discover, depending on whether playing solo or co-op.
  • Use the joysticks in co-op mode and enjoy optimised handling.

The House of the Dead 2: Remake physical edition will arrive for the Switch on 31st October, and pre-orders are available now.
