The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 3 sets November premiere

May 12, 2026 by Gary Collinson

Prime Video has announced that the third season of its epic fantasy series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is set to premiere on the streaming service on November 11th of this year.

“From the very beginning, this series has embodied the scale, ambition, and cinematic storytelling that define Prime Video’s biggest global series,” said Peter Friedlander, Head of Global Television, Amazon MGM Studios. “The extraordinary response from millions of fans around the world has made it clear that this journey through Middle-earth continues to resonate, and that momentum has only grown heading into Season Three.”

Set within the Second Age of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth, taking place thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, the third season of The Rings of Power will jump forward several years from season two to the height of the War of the Elves and Sauron, as the Dark Lord seeks to craft the One Ring that will give him the edge he needs to win the war, bind all peoples to his will – and at last rule all Middle-earth.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 3 features a cast that includes Morfydd Clark as Galadriel, Robert Aramayo as Elrond, Benjamin Walker as Gil-galad, Imsael Cruz Cordova as Arondir, Daniel Weyman as Gandalf, Charlie Vickers as Sauron, Lloyd Owen as Elendil, Cynthia Addai-Robinson as Miriel, Trystan Gravelle as Pharazon, Owain Arthur as Durin IV, and new additions Jamie Campbell Bower, Eddie Marsan, Andrew Richardson, Zubin Varla and Adam Young in as-yet-unrevealed roles.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 3 will premiere on Prime Video on November 11th 2026.
